I am back!

For some silly reasons, I was googling for Dawn Yeo, the infamous Singaporean blogger who was headhunted by a talent agency for her looks and I discovered that yes, China can access to blogger now.

And that means, I am back!

I promise I will religiously update my life as a Chengdu Tai Tai here in blogger. Forget about my vox acccount. I can't access vox in China.

Also for information, Wikepedia is also blocked. Darn!

Day 1 - Misadventure

With much trepidation, I set off home early 430am to catch the god-forbid early flight to NYC (Transit via KL & Stockholm). Before leaving, I asked MsPandaeye whether she got all her stuff ready. I smugly waved my passport and the envelope which contained my air ticket saying that I am all prepared!

As Murphy's Law goes, What will go wrong will go wrong. I took the wrong envelope! Fortunately, home was say 8 minutes away and I had to rush back home at 5am in the morning to find my air ticket. Damaged done = $18 of cab fare and lose of dignity. (plus start of my unlucky day).

It had been a long time since I took such a long haul flight. The 22 hours in the plane nearly killed me. My bums ached, my neck ached and my waist also ached. I tried to stretch out whenever I could but it didn't really help much. It doesn't help that the ride was bumpy due to the bad weather. Was a very expensive roller coster ride. Ms C was complaining that me and Mspandaeye are very "sia ku" because we kept complaining why the ride was so long! I swear this might be my last time to NYC!

Unlucky event no 2 - My handphone failed to start. When I was in Stockholm, I tried unsuccessful to switch on my handphones.

Unlucky event no 3 - My index nail broke when carrying my luggage off the baggage carousel.

Unlucky event no 4 - My luggage zip broke. Now cannot lock luggage.

Fortunately, managed to start my handphone and discover new way to lock my luggage. So thus, not so "suay" after all!

Au Revior!

Cat in NYC.

Good Vs Dark Forces

Going to work is something to I look forward to everyday (except public holidays and weekends). Today, my mood is unexceptionally bright and chirpy. That's because of "the" motivation factor and my renewed perception of my life in the airport.

Despite having a good chirpy mood, negative forces are also good at singleing me out. Maybe it's because the negative force need my chirpy aura to make himself feels good. Unfortunately, negative forces are very contagious, and my chirpy aura can't outfight the dark forces and I always ended up feeling miserable for the person concern.

What I don't understand is, self pitying don't get one anywhere. Especially when one person has wallowed in self pity for more than 4 years, hoping that fortunes will be turn and the tide will come.

I hope the said person will come to his senses and do something to salvage his already bruised ego and self-esteem before it get totally crushed by the inevitable outcome.

A date with Phantom

Finally the day arrived for the much awaited muscial, Phantom of the Opera. The gals and i had booked the ticket since last year, knowing that the response would be good. The last time Phantom was in Singapore was in early 1990s. 10 years have passed and it's another run!

This would be my 3rd time catching Phantom of the Opera. I have been listening to Phantom since my days in secondary school. Thanks to Mrs Leong, my literature teacher who brought out the interest in me. From secondary school days, I have caught numerous musicals in Singapore and in WestEnd (London).

Like the previous rounds, I paid for the most expensive tickets. It paid to book early as we got one of the best seats in the theatre. Due to the close proximity, we could make out the features of all the singers! Raoul is very handsome!

The cast today was the international cast who did Hong Kong in 2006. The role of Phantom was reprised by Brad Little (whom we feel is abit stout), Christine by Marni Raab and Raoul by John Bowles.

The set/prop remains unchanged from 10 years ago except that I felt that the roof scene where they sang "All I ask of you" is new. I felt that Marni Raab voice is too opera-tic. The original Christine Daae (Sarah Brightman) sang with so much innocence and sweetness and its hard not to compare Marni with her. Especially when the role of Christine is suppposed to be young and innocent. A little disappointment there.

Can't fault Brad and John. They sang very well. But we felt the chemistry between Raoul and Christine wasn't all that fabulous. We have seen better combination. Over all, the only thing to rant at is the pricey souvenirs! The programme is going at $25 per booklet. Damn bloddy expensive! In the end, C got a keychain $12, and myself a mug at $15.

The 3 gals out on a date with Phantom.

Oh, and my favourite song from the muscial is "All I ask of you".

Perfume Shopping

Speaking about perfumes, I haven't been buying much since Saresha left Singapore for her Masters in 2005. I used to follow her sniffing around Escentials when she was trying out the new perfumes.

And because of this, her preference for perfume houses' perfume influenced me. Namely because, commercial perfumes are just too simple and generic. (Don't they all smell the same?)

Unlike commercial perfumes, Perfume houses' perfume are more complex with more character. The notes themselves are more interesting and the top note to the drydown could very different!

I have liked Serge Lutens Daim Blond for very long time but then couldn't fork out the money for it because its so expensive! $179 per 50ml.

It's not that I haven't fork out money for perfumes this price range, but than I already have many perfumes at home!

Last week, I couldn't resist when Saresha called me!

*Ring Ring* "Hello LuxAsia having sale. L' Artisan and Serge Luten at 50% discount. Cheap"

At that point, I could only made out the words" Sale - L'Artisan, SL, Cheap "!

So thus, I asked Saresha to help me to get

1. A bottle of Serge Luten, Daim Blond
2. L'Artisan Mure Et Musc
3. L'Artisan Anana Fizz

A little introduction of Serge Daim Blond.

Daim Blond, one of Lutens’s Eaux de Parfum Haute Concentration was inspired by (white) suede; it has the notes of iris, apricot kernel, cardamom, musk, heliotrope, and hawthorn. If I had to describe its smell with one word, the word would be Expensive. To me this is a smell of understated luxury, impeccable taste and natural elegance. Apart from smelling expensive, Daim Blond does indeed smell like suede, albeit suede that has absorbed its wearer’s rather sweet fruity-floral perfume.

(Extracted from Here)

L'Artisan Mure Et Musc. (Extreme)

A very fresh and somewhat playful perfume consisting of musk, blackberries and citrus. A stronger version of the classic Mure Et Musc, with heightened blackberries sweetness while remaining elegant. Like the very refined lady who catches the roguishly handsome stable boy’s eye and lets him know she’s off for a walk in the woods and would love a bit of company.

(Extracted from Here)

My wishlist - L'Artisan Orange Blossom 2005 or Fleur d'Oranger. I first sniffed it when I followed Saresha to Escential at Raffles Hotel. THe first sniff blew my mind away. I was immediately transported to a field of orange blossom, imagine a picture out of the field of Tunisia. Unfortunately the price tag equally blew my mind away, at more than $500 per bottle, which is certainly out of my buying price range.

How I wish i got more performance bonus!!

Planning for the Big Apple

16 more days to the Big Apple.

Finally, the three gals (including Cat) crashed over at my place tonight to sort out the accomodations, niagara falls, details etc.

We have been busy punching the keypads on our notebooks since 730pm and now still at it. Occasionally stopping at shoes site to see shoes and ordered 3 pairs in between researching our NYC.

So far, I managed to confirm the Niagara Tours. So leaving the girls to sort out the accomodation!

A quick check. (5 hours later)

C is now msning Jo.

MsPandaeyes surfing net. And

Cat blogging.

See... when 3 gals together. Nothing much get done!

(Except shopping)

We are going to sleep on the streets!

Wide awake

Currently lying on the bed waiting for my curly hair to dry.

Recently my transition from super straight hair girl to curly hair auntie wasn't that too well received in office. Many young boys commented that I turned auntie overnight.

But, I love my new hair! At least its something different from the usual short, straight hair which i had it for almost 5 years.

This curly hair however burnt a small hole in my pocket. Beside spending $140 on it, I bought hair products to style it everyday (and to my horror style wrongly because i need to wet my hair before applying them, which i didn't). Then I suddenly realised (after 2 in office told me i got bald spots) that I might be turning bald. So while visiting the doctor for sore throat last week, I told him my sad story of going bald.

Don't know whether lucky star is shining on me or not. It turns out that doc was trained in Aesthetic Medicine. Doc gave me some medicine to apply on my bald spot and hair vitamins to take which costed me another $135.

Which i later went back to complain to my hair stylist, who told me that I am not going bald. He doesn't feel that I am losoing lots of hair. All along, my hair is belongs to the fine and thin category.

Call me kiasu but I still need to continue the treatment for a minimum 3 months to see any effect. *Horror. Need to set aside 135 x 3.*

By the way, I am still not excited over the NYC trip. Funny.

Looking forward to "Phantom of the Opera" this weekend.

My 3rd time watching.

Being "ATAS"

ATAS = Malay word
Means "Haolian" (Hokkien) or Proud, High Class in English.

Haha. I like this adjective!

When somene call you ATAS, it means that you are almost there. You are likely to be an "in" lady, a fashionista who wears nothing but branded, carry nothing but branded bags (Le Sport Sac cannot be considered). Likely to speak english with a slight accent and likes to mix around with other similar ATAS friend. She most likely have the the "it" bag of every season. If she is not a tai tai, she would be a Tai Tai wannabe. May look down on people who are not ATAS.

Recently, someone (K)whom I only seen a few times (less than 5) was very enthusiatic to meet me. This lady was the ATAS good friend of Ms S. Why is Ms K so keen to meet me? Hmm..... (Danger alert!)

Disclaimer - Catflying is not ATAS.

For the past weekends (and more to go)

How can i not blog about this?

For the past few weekends, I was doing nothing but glued to my 42 inch television watching nothing but the japanese anime - Tennis no Ojisama otherwise known as Prince of Tennis.

The story is about a tennis child prodigy Echizen Ryoma who attends Seigaku School famous for its tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeated his seniors to secure a spot as a regular in the school team.

The whole anime talks about the lives of the Seigaku's regulars and their fight to the Nationals. How they work hard to improve their skills and overcome the challenges to reach the Nationals. The story also mixes with the hilarious stories of their friendship, competition and rivalry with rial schools. Very similar to Slam Dunk except this time, it's Tennis.

I love almost all the characters in the Seigaku team. My favourite are

1) Kikamaru Eiji 菊丸英二
A third year senior who play double with Oishi Shuichiro and they are considered the "golden pair". He is known for his Acrobatic Play. I like him because he is so cute! His favourite catch phrase ? "Hoi Hoi!"

2) Takeshi Momoshiro 桃城 武
A second year senior who was in the regular team until Inui knocked him out in the Seigaku ranking match. Momochan is known for his Dunk Smash and Jack Knife technique and is 2nd to Kawamura in Power play. Among the regulars, Momochan is closest to Ryoma as they often go to school together and hang out at burger joints.

3) Ryoma Echizen 越前 リョーマ
A freshman who entered Seigaku and immediately gained a spot in the regular team. A tennis prodigy who won numerous tournaments in USA before returning to Japan. Like Eiji, he possesses super sharp vision and could guess the ball direction the moment it connects with the opponent racket. Ryoma has developed many skills along the way and famous notably for his small split step, twist serve, cyclone smash, drive B. He is also able to copy techniques displayed by other team members.

4) Shusuke Fuji 不二 周助
A 3rd year senior who skills is second to team captain Tezuka. Fuji is given the title as the "Tensai" or genius. Fuji is very mild and gentle, always smiling with his eyes closed. He is very protective of his friend around him and got upset / angry when they are bullied. When provoked, his eyes will open to reveal a pair of blue sharp eyes. Fui played the 2nd singles and played the 1st when Tezuka is away. His is known for his 3 counter moves; Bear drop, White Whale and Swallow return. So far, have not seen Fuji lost to anyone. (Now Episode 147 of 178)

5) Kinimitzu Tezuka 手塚国光
The captain of Seigaku and is well respected by all his team mates. He is very talented and like Ryoma, made it to the regulars in his first year. Seeing Ryoma was like seeing himself and thus looked out for him. Despite his injury, he played with Ryoma to convince him that he need to be more than a clone of his father, a retired professional tennis player, Nanchiro Echizen.

They have this?

9 years ago, I was fortunate to be in Amsterdam to see their very famous tulip at their Keukenhof Garden. The display of the various types of tulips all planted on the ground simply took my breathe away.

It was my first time seeing tulips planted in soil, and not from a florist's refrigerator.

3 days ago. T send me these pictures. Seeing them brought back those wonderful memories I had in Amsterdam with Saresha.

Bloody hell.... They have this in China?? What have we been missing??

I WANT ......!!!

Does this surprise you?

I saw this post in Saresha's Blog and thought it apt to post it here. This is interesting especially since the "the male topic" is one of those hotly argued and contested subject over lunch where some male colleagues would denied that they are one of those who are controlled by their little brain below.

Argue no more. We have the research to prove it!

Sex cues ruin men's decisiveness

The more testosterone he has, the stronger the effect, according to work by Belgian researchers. Men about to play a financial game were shown images of sexy women or lingerie. The Proceedings of the Royal Society B study found they were more likely to accept unfair offers than men not been exposed to the alluring images.

The suggestion is that the sexual cues distract the men's thoughts, preventing them from focusing on their task - particularly among those with high natural testosterone levels. The University of Leuven researchers gave 176 heterosexual male student volunteers aged 18 to 28 financial games to test their fair play.

But first, half of the men were shown sexual cues of some kind. One group of 44 men were given pictures to rate; some were shown landscapes while the rest were shown attractive women.Another group, of 37 men, were either asked to assess the quality, texture and colour of a bra or a t-shirt.And a third group of 95 were shown either pictures of elderly women or young models.

Each group was then paired up to play a game where the men had $10, a proposer had to suggest a split, and the other man accepted or rejected the offer. If the second man accepted the offer, the money was distributed in agreement with the offer. If he rejected it, neither partner got anything. The game is designed as a lab model of hunting or food sharing situations.

'Vulnerable'

The men's performance in the tests showed those who had been exposed to the "sexual cues" were more likely to accept an unfair offer than those who were not.The men's testosterone levels were also tested - by comparing the length of the men's index finger compared to their ring finger. If the ring finger is longer, it indicates a high testosterone level.

The researchers found that men in the study who had the highest levels performed worst in the test, and suggest that is because they are particularly sensitive to sexual images.Dr Siegfried DeWitte, one of the researchers who worked on the study, said: "We like to think we are all rational beings, but our research suggests ... that people with high testosterone levels are very
vulnerable to sexual cues."If there are no cues around, they behave normally."But if they see sexual images they become impulsive."

He added: "It's a tendency, but these people are not powerless to fight it."Hormone levels are one thing, but we can learn to deal with it."The researchers are conducting similar tests with women. But so far, they have failed to find a visual stimulus which will affect their behaviour."

Dr George Fieldman, principal lecturer in psychology at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, told the BBC News website: "The fact men are distracted by sexual cues fits in to evolutionary experience. It's what they are expected to do." They are looking for opportunities to pass on their genes."He said the study confirmed what had been suspected by many."

If a man is being asked to choose between something being presented by an attractive woman and an ugly man, they might not be as dispassionate as they could be."

What do you look forward to?

What do you look forward to at the end of the day?

This question pops out after I am cropped up at home for 2 days straight. Never leaving home except for grocery shopping at the supermarket nearby.

As night falls and I kept on looking at my door. Somehow expecting it be be opened. Oh my god! I am behaving like a housewife. Waiting for dearest husband to come home.

Except that this husband of mine only comes back 4 times a year. (or less)

What am I still in Singapore?

1 month of no action

After a month of no-action, I am back! Yahoooo....

To summarise what I have done last month.

1. Endless visiting during Chinese New Year
2. Gained 2 kg
3. Rekindle my interest in SGX
4. Had my hair perm
5. Halfway through Honey & Clover, the anime
6. Halfway through Prince of Tennis, (Tennis no Ohjisama) the anime (thumbs up!)

I have been wanting to update my blogger for a very long time. I even took pictures of people queueing for the Mei Zhen Xiang, the restaurants I have been, The food I ate. Alas, getting into blogger always take longer than usual and I lose interest!

Tomorrow is the company MVV programme which we have to spend 2 days 1 night in Orchid Country Club for a bonding programme.

Satisfied

Day 3

I threw all cautious to the wind and started on something that would satisfy me not only mentally but also physically.

Morning, I decided no more milk. No more soup. I wanted to eat Beehoon Soto. (In fact the night before sleep I am aldy planning the next day menu). But the one I really craved was the economical fried beehoon with otah (otah i can eat), fish fillet and fried chicken wing at the opposite stall. Still I am still abit "kiasi" and didn't buy because it involve more chewing thanBeehoon Soto. I tell myself, "Beehoon soup easier to eat." Just chew a few mouthful and swallow. "Period.

While queueing, the chicken hanging on the stall looks too tempting and I ended up buying chicken rice as well.

So finally after 3 days, I finally laid my hands on real food. *satisfied*

I am SUFFERING!

Day 2 of my wisdom tooth operation and I am going to die of hunger!

I never knew not having hard and solid food is this terrible. I feel hungry all the time. Though Ms Panda has told me to stock up on milo and soup but they don't give me any satisfaction at all! Since yesterday, I have been hallucinating on food. Lovely food. Aromatic food. Solid food.

My diet so far since yesterday was KFC mash potato, one miserable bun (mistake cos' cannot chew), 2 bites of rice (mistake cos wound started to bleed), cold toufu and miso soup. (not to forget how many milo i drank)

Today, I started the 2nd day with a glass of milk. Afternoon I got a bit adventurous with "Mee Tai Bak" soup which again i have difficulty eating. Thereafter I kept piling up myself with barley water (keep cool) until 5pm which I lost the battle and opened a campbell soup.

6pm. I am hungry again so I made 2 chawan mushi to eat. Finished all of them despite them tasting far from delicious (2nd time home make, what can you expect?) Now as I am writing, I am thinking about the cream crackers and the remaining campbell soup!

Argh... I want to eat Satay, Beehoon, Otah.. so many nice nice food!! Even the corn bun (which is the last thing I will ever eat ) in the kitchen looks delicious to me!!

I am feeling very grouchy now. No food means no mood!!

I can eat a cow!

Recuperating

I had enough of the bloody gauze which I was told to bite after the op. It was very uncomfortable biting with my mouth half open. No I know we secrete alot of saliva when our mouth is half open. I tried to spit out the saliva while trying to keep the gauze dry in my mouth. Then the gauze got wet because there's simply too much saliva. And my useless nose start to drip. It was really an awful sight.

I finished the 2 package of gauze yesterday night before sleeping and I had to resort digging into my first-aid box for more. I delibrated whether to bite it while sleeping and did it after Ms Panda told me to. But halfway through, I took it out as it was really too uncomfortable. (not to mention the pool of saliva starting to congregate)

Fortunately I slept through the night without any pain. Maybe my threshold for tolerating pain is quite high. So this morning I stopped taking the pain-killer.

Today, my right cheek is swollen and I looked like a puffer fish. The swell was quite obvious on my cheek. Fortunately, I still could talk but then eating is a big problem! Asked around what Ms Panda had when she had her op and she told me milo and instant soup! C on the otherhad suggest KFC mash potatoes which is easy to swallow! (that's what i had for lunch.)

Oh so hungry!! I crave for Macdonalds, rice, KFC and pizza!! But due to my condition, I could only managed light food. I went to Shop and Safe downstairs and stock up lots of campbell soups, instant soups and milk. I managed to eat a corn bun but that took some effort to chew!

Meanwhile I am drinking milo like nobody business to fool my stomach.

Argh....I want to eat rice!!!

Done and Over with

Finally, I had it done and over with!

For the past few days my wisdom tooth, on the right bottom of my jaw has been giving me alot of pain. Even my left cheek is having an ulcer. The irritation made me jumpy and bad-tempered for the past few days.

Finally made a call to uncle henry for a dental checkup after the pain travelled up to my head. I sort of mentally prepared that I probably need to go for an extraction but the news still come crushing down like a blow to me. Either I do it yesterday or wait for next week. A few minutes on weighing the pros and cons, I finally bite the bullet and did the operation immediately which lasted no less than half an hour.

Fortunately, Uncle Henry was quite skillful so it wasn't painful at all. So I left the clinic with a 3 days medical leave and be back to work on tuesday.

The remains of my wisdom tooth

I am a lucky girl

Lucky stars must be shining brightly on me this week as everything I do was unusually smooth. It started off with a cheerful Monday and my spirit was high.

Ms Prima Donna even followed me to chase after the cast of the Hana Kimi show who was here in Tampines Mall to do a promotional event for U Channel. Unfortunately, we were late and couldn't out-squeeze the screaming young fans and thus we left without a glimpse of our favourite actor Wu Zun.

Free Good food seems be the highlight this week. Since monday, it started with a good steak dinner with Ms PD, C and J and tuesday a lunch treat with my BHS colleages in Budget Terminal. Followed by nice pasta dinner with ex-classmates and then ended with a international buffet in Bar and Billiard Room at Raffles. Though good food is very important, it does not beat having an enjoyable company for dinner. I could be eating the cheapest $2 chicken rice and with a good charming company and I would still enjoy it like I'm in Chatterbox.

Unfortuantely before the week is over, I had a very bad dinner experience which wakes me up on my resolution to tolerate bad behaviors. You know, bad company = bad time, give me indigestion and from now on, I would rather have TV as my dinner date than go out with any suspicious character!

Talking about this, is it a mere coincidence that those good dates were all happily taken? And that the bad date is still unwanted? Ahhh... must pen this down in my matchmaking notes!

Dinner aside, my trip to the National Museum went very well. No glitch nothing. My boss thank me for a job well co-ordinated. This time, Mr B guided us around the museum explaining their art programme and the architectural highlights. As usual he was very eloquent and knowledgable and we were all very impressed. I had a good time there, except that I probably need to return to slowly finish all the exhibit.

To those who gave me a good time this week, Thank you.

Ouran High Host Club

My latest online addiction.

Ouran High School Host Club! I have been glued to my computer the past 3 days catching every of the 26 episode I could find in youtube. It is an anime adapted from a manga which talks about the lives and happenings of the members in a Host Club in Ouran High School.

Ouran High School is an exclusive institution which catered for students from very rich and affluent family. There comes along a scholarship student Haruhi Fujioka who is very poor and was mistaken as a male student.

One day, on her search for a quiet place to study she stumbles upon the Host Club - a group of six attractive male students who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knock over a very expensive vase valued at ¥8,000,000 and was made a helper to pay off the the massive debt.

The story turn more interesting when Haruhi was promoted to be one of the host when the club president saw him without his glasses. Thus, begins Haruhi journey as one of the host in the school most popular club.

Sanxingdui

Earlier this afternoon, W msn and told me that Sanxingdui is in Singapore. They are doing a tour and now reciding in Asian Civilisation Museum.

How Sanxingdui came about? The relics of Sanxindui was discovered by a farmer in 1929 and excavations have continued ever since. This site is located in the city of Guanghan, 40 km from Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In 1986, the archaeologists discovered 2 major sacrificial pits which aroused a huge interest in the academic world. From the pits, thousands of gold, bronze, jade, and pottery artifacts that had been ritually disfigured, burned, and carefully buried was discovered. These artefacts dated all the way back to the Kingdom of "Shu" from a period of 5000 years ago.

The unearthed goodie showed exquisite workmanship which means that handicrafts and probably the bronze casting technology had developed by that time creating the foundations for a civilized society. Task Rosen, chief archaeological expert from the British Museum in London, said the discovery seems more outstanding than the terracotta figures of Warriors and Horses buried with the dead in Xi'an.

Despite the dig going on for years, no text have been found or nor there is any mention of this culture in the records in China or other countries. The culture behind Sanxingdui remain a mystery. For me, I thought certain artefacts resemble the Eygptian / javanese figures.

通天神树
The relic is made of green bronze material and stand 3.84m tall. Exquisite workmanship. The tree consists of 3 layers and each layer 3 branches, total of 9 brances. Each branch sits a bird and ornaments decorated the tree. There's also a dragon . We can assume that 5000 years ago, the chinese believe 9 is an auspicious number!

This is the bronze head which was unearthed unspoilt. There's a reason why the eyes are poking out but I can't really recall now. T was saying that there is a saying that goes eyes big means can see very far and ears big means can hear far. I think maybe this one symoblise a king. Together with the 通天神树, this bronze head is classified as 国家一级宝物。

So far, Sanxingdui has toured Guggenheim in New York (1998), the Swiss National Museum in Zurich (1996), the British Museum in London (1996), the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen to overwhelming response.

Now it's in Singapore! Don't miss it!

He who is not what it seems

A big plate of fresh sashimi and many glasses of red wine later, W started to spill his guts on his relationship with M.

I would have to retract my previous statement that W is the gentleman because they had done it. And in a way that blows my imagination away.

2 weeks after knowing each other, the girl made the first move. The occasion, in a hotel room celebrating M's sister marriage to W's friend P.

The 4 of them on the same bed. 2 of them (M & W ) end up doing it and the another 2 probably the same as well. (wedding night leh)

My question is? How did they do it? I mean the biggest bed say King size sleeps 4 (given that W is 97kg and 6ft) is already very stretched. Though W insisted that the bed is very big but won't there be any movement or noise given the activities involved? Where is the sense of decency?
*shame shame*

Probably both couples are busy rutting out so couldn't be bothered. But I never knew China gals are so open that they could have done it in the same room together with the sister and brother in law. Shock the hell out of me!

W has confessed that M would probably be the last woman in his life as he would not be able to find another girl. Like a stranded man in a deserted island. He will jump on any boat to get out of the island. Doesn't matter that the boat has holes or is leaking, he will take the chance.

The last I heard, they have reached an understanding to test their romance out for 1 year. Like S said, M has nothing to lose. I think that if M could find a better man before the end of the year, she will wave W goodbye.

Keep my finger cross. The saga continues.....

The China woman tactics

As the saying goes, 那个猫儿不吃腥?Obviously my friend W doesn't belong to the family of Cat! Because despite so many times M has given him the chances for him to sleep with her, he simply refuse!! This must have vex M to no end, and she must be very puzzled why isn't W falling for her charms. What happens to W's male urges? ? ?

I was laughing no end when W told me their story yesterday. Apparently in the hotel room, M has asked W to share the bed with her. The hotel room came with 2 super single bed. M wanted to snuggle up with W but W refused stating " How to sleep like this? I need space to curl up. If she snuggle with me, I sure can't sleep!" I was like "duhhhh"????? So of course our stony W ordered M to stay in her bed and not to sleep with him, giving her one less opportunities for display her ample asset! Haha.. what is W thinking ? Alot of men will jump at this opportunity!

The first kiss was also initiated by M. According to W, she was the one who made the first move and took the initiative. W is those very shy type of man who hasn't had any girlfriend in his whole life! So, thanks to M. He now had his first kissssssss!

The other tactics used by M to snare W

1. Taking the intiative to hold the man's hand on the 3rd date.
2. Cooking and asking the man home for dinner to display her potential as 贤妻良母.
3. To hold the man hands at all times including tour outings.
4. Give a good massage at every opportunities available to ease their aches. The men loves this!
5. Be docile and meek as a lamb and W to call the shot.
6. To initiate opportunities for W to make advances.
7. Many others (i forgot to take notes!)

Anyway, this relationship has not hit the end yet as M is still trying hard to keep W. As of yesterday, they are still trying to iron out their differences. Will update once i have more stories to tell!

Please marry me!

For the entire trip in Chengdu, my friend W brought his newly found China galfren M from Fuzhou with us. Their relationship is about 3 months old, and M is the sister in law of his best friend who recently married the M's sister.

Needless to say, the entire trip was funded by W and he even gave M 1000RMB to spend (and another 500 on the last day). Along the trip, nosey Cat kept a close eye on M, wanting to know how a China gal operates to make her kill.

After observing M for 9 days, I would say Singaporean girl lose hands down to the China gal. Even T agree with me wholeheartedly. A china gal will go all out to snare the man, with no reserves, no qualms and no morals. A prey is a prey. Once target set, Ah Ha... no escape!!!

Will a Singapore girl do this in a KTV room full of friends?

Will a Singapore gal create opportunities for a man to make his advances in bed?

Will a Singapore gal offer herself to the men at every opportunity available?

Will a Singapore gal make the first move in everything?

(picture courtesy of nosey Cat who can't help herself in taking this shot)

The story of M and W goes like this. W get to know M through P, and on the 3rd outing, M took the initiative to hold W's hand in the cinema on the pretext of cold. W being a man of course went along especially since the gal is 11 years younger, pretty and very easy.

W was a little non-commital because he couldn't speak any mandarin while M can't speak any english to save her life. This new found love was basically sign languages and some basic mandarin W picked up recently.

Unfortunately during M time in Singapore, she has to return to Fuzhou as her ticket could not be extended. At that time, M couldn't wrangle out a marriage proposal from W so she flew back 1 week later in a last ditch effort to snare W. (reason given by her is to make full use of her visa which is not due yet)

At this stage, I am sure you would be very curious about M's background. Won't you?

Basically, M is a 24 year old village girl from Fuzhou. She is young, pretty and attractive. Slim and petite, she is like a godsend to my friend W who hasn't been able to get a girlfriend for years. She is to me, a typical chinese girl who is all out to snare a man who can feed her and improve her existing living condition. In short, a long term meal ticket.

M is very evasive about her life. What we know is that she hasn't been working since April this year. God knows where she get her money to keep afloat for 8 months and had enough money to fly to Singapore twice and a computer of 9000RMB so that she could conduct a long distance relationship with W.

During the entire trip, she was anxious to get W to marry her despite their obvious mismatch, which doesn't not concern her any bit. To her, marrying for a better life is so very important. According to M, if a girl by the age of mid 20s to 27 isn't married in China, she will probably be left on the shelves. It doesn't matter that the men they marry isn't the correct one. They will rather marry by mid 20s then divorce at 30 if it doesn't work out.

So it doesn't matter that W has some character flaws (eg self-centred, insensitive) which she told him point-blank and not as good as her brother in-law. It also doesn't matter that they have problems communicating and they don't even think on the same frequency, given that M has little education, which maximum say secondary school. Little general knowledge except being an expert in reading people's character, self proclaimed.

And the hilarious thing is, she feels that she is smarter than all of us! Well, all of us just indulge her since we simply can't be bothered to correct her.

Anyway after 9 days together, W felt that she is not suitable for him and he was put off by the fact that she wanted to be married by May 07! He told her that they are not suitable for each other 2 days before the trip is over and both agreed that they are not working out. However on our last day in Chengdu, she tried her last ditch effort to keep him by "coming onto him".

So, how did W react? Will their relationship stay and he succumb to her charm? ......
