With much trepidation, I set off home early 430am to catch the god-forbid early flight to NYC (Transit via KL & Stockholm). Before leaving, I asked MsPandaeye whether she got all her stuff ready. I smugly waved my passport and the envelope which contained my air ticket saying that I am all prepared!
As Murphy's Law goes, What will go wrong will go wrong. I took the wrong envelope! Fortunately, home was say 8 minutes away and I had to rush back home at 5am in the morning to find my air ticket. Damaged done = $18 of cab fare and lose of dignity. (plus start of my unlucky day).
It had been a long time since I took such a long haul flight. The 22 hours in the plane nearly killed me. My bums ached, my neck ached and my waist also ached. I tried to stretch out whenever I could but it didn't really help much. It doesn't help that the ride was bumpy due to the bad weather. Was a very expensive roller coster ride. Ms C was complaining that me and Mspandaeye are very "sia ku" because we kept complaining why the ride was so long! I swear this might be my last time to NYC!
Unlucky event no 2 - My handphone failed to start. When I was in Stockholm, I tried unsuccessful to switch on my handphones.
Unlucky event no 3 - My index nail broke when carrying my luggage off the baggage carousel.
Unlucky event no 4 - My luggage zip broke. Now cannot lock luggage.
Fortunately, managed to start my handphone and discover new way to lock my luggage. So thus, not so "suay" after all!
Au Revior!
Cat in NYC.
