Please marry me!

For the entire trip in Chengdu, my friend W brought his newly found China galfren M from Fuzhou with us. Their relationship is about 3 months old, and M is the sister in law of his best friend who recently married the M's sister.

Needless to say, the entire trip was funded by W and he even gave M 1000RMB to spend (and another 500 on the last day). Along the trip, nosey Cat kept a close eye on M, wanting to know how a China gal operates to make her kill.

After observing M for 9 days, I would say Singaporean girl lose hands down to the China gal. Even T agree with me wholeheartedly. A china gal will go all out to snare the man, with no reserves, no qualms and no morals. A prey is a prey. Once target set, Ah Ha... no escape!!!

Will a Singapore girl do this in a KTV room full of friends?

Will a Singapore gal create opportunities for a man to make his advances in bed?

Will a Singapore gal offer herself to the men at every opportunity available?

Will a Singapore gal make the first move in everything?

(picture courtesy of nosey Cat who can't help herself in taking this shot)

The story of M and W goes like this. W get to know M through P, and on the 3rd outing, M took the initiative to hold W's hand in the cinema on the pretext of cold. W being a man of course went along especially since the gal is 11 years younger, pretty and very easy.

W was a little non-commital because he couldn't speak any mandarin while M can't speak any english to save her life. This new found love was basically sign languages and some basic mandarin W picked up recently.

Unfortunately during M time in Singapore, she has to return to Fuzhou as her ticket could not be extended. At that time, M couldn't wrangle out a marriage proposal from W so she flew back 1 week later in a last ditch effort to snare W. (reason given by her is to make full use of her visa which is not due yet)

At this stage, I am sure you would be very curious about M's background. Won't you?

Basically, M is a 24 year old village girl from Fuzhou. She is young, pretty and attractive. Slim and petite, she is like a godsend to my friend W who hasn't been able to get a girlfriend for years. She is to me, a typical chinese girl who is all out to snare a man who can feed her and improve her existing living condition. In short, a long term meal ticket.

M is very evasive about her life. What we know is that she hasn't been working since April this year. God knows where she get her money to keep afloat for 8 months and had enough money to fly to Singapore twice and a computer of 9000RMB so that she could conduct a long distance relationship with W.

During the entire trip, she was anxious to get W to marry her despite their obvious mismatch, which doesn't not concern her any bit. To her, marrying for a better life is so very important. According to M, if a girl by the age of mid 20s to 27 isn't married in China, she will probably be left on the shelves. It doesn't matter that the men they marry isn't the correct one. They will rather marry by mid 20s then divorce at 30 if it doesn't work out.

So it doesn't matter that W has some character flaws (eg self-centred, insensitive) which she told him point-blank and not as good as her brother in-law. It also doesn't matter that they have problems communicating and they don't even think on the same frequency, given that M has little education, which maximum say secondary school. Little general knowledge except being an expert in reading people's character, self proclaimed.

And the hilarious thing is, she feels that she is smarter than all of us! Well, all of us just indulge her since we simply can't be bothered to correct her.

Anyway after 9 days together, W felt that she is not suitable for him and he was put off by the fact that she wanted to be married by May 07! He told her that they are not suitable for each other 2 days before the trip is over and both agreed that they are not working out. However on our last day in Chengdu, she tried her last ditch effort to keep him by "coming onto him".

So, how did W react? Will their relationship stay and he succumb to her charm? ......

OMG, it's the plot of a hundred TVB dramas. Maybe W needs to watch more of those to improve his Mandarin - he might be able to snare a better class of PRC girls! (If he still wants to then...)
