Mei chan's butler

Lately, I have found or I should say relive my interest in watching Jdorama. Few things I particularly like about watching Japanese dramas is that the plot is always short and sweet, unlike Taiwanese counterpart and the leads are always so good-looking!

The trend from doing live-adaption has been on for a long time. Since Meteor Garden days (10 years ago?) These dramas adapted from top mangas are sure guarantee in ratings with the pretty looking actors and actresses as the main roles.

Last Saturday, I was so glued to the TV watching Mei Chan no Shitsuji (我的帅管家)or otherwise known as Mei's Butler in Engish. This was also a live adapation based on a Japanese manga. A typical cinderalla fairy tale in most Shojo manga, the heroine (Mei) realised that she is the grand-daughter and heiress to the one of the most powerful corporation in Japan after her parents died in an accident. She is forced to transfer to St Lucia's Girl School where the rich and powerful send their daughters to be trained for society in future. There every girl is equipped with a butler to help them through and Mei was appointed a "S" butler - Rihito, to help her through all the obstacles she faced in school until graduation.

One of the rules in the school is not to fall in love with your butler, otherwise the girl will face expulsion.....

I particularly like Mizushima Hiro in his role as the "S" butler! He was so hot! He also starred in Hana Kimi and Zettai Kareshi.

My next drama - Love Shuffle. (I will blog about this later)
