Simply Tired

Sorry for the dearth of blogs over the past 2 weeks. Too much things was happening in office and I was too knackered over to bring myself to blog about it and be reminded of all the unhappy things that happened.

First, my Hong Kong colleague resigned. So thus my boss E told me that I have to take over ALL his job. (hello.. I am still under pay cut hor!) Well, I was extremely pissed but then what to do?

Next, my boss fired my staff without informing me. That leave me alone to battle with my client and take over his job. Reason of firing him was that he went to recommend a contractor to the client and said that it was introduced by our company. The contractor was in fact my ex-colleague who was retrenched and borrowed some company name to tender for this job. As a professional QS, we have to rule such unqualified companies out, and instead of recommending to the client, saying that they are able to do the job. But that said, E should at least informed me in advance so that I can find a replacement in time! Darn.

Third, client is ridiculous. Keep on asking me to do ridiculous things and things which are not part of my scope and work. I shan't go into details but than I am simply very tired of dealing with their internal politics and they wanting to build a caltex house (office building) with the budget of a HDB block. How to???

Luck be, a headhunter is knocking my door. I have spoken to him twice and now awaiting for a chance to speak to the client, who is a big UK QS consultancy firm. We will see how it goes..

Meanwhile, I am resuming my passion for Japanese anime. I am currently watching Skip Beat. It is the story of Kyoko Mogami a 17-year-old girl who discovers that her childhood friend and romantic goal, Sho Fuwa, only keeps her around to act as a maid and earn his living expenses, as he works his way to become the top pop idol in Japan. Furious and heart broken, she vows to get revenge by beating him in show business, and enters another agency which is almost as big as Sho Fuwa's agency. There she met Ren Tsuruga, a very talented actor and also labeled as "The most coolest male celebrity". Ren did not have a good impression of Kyoko first, but then change his feelings along the way and eventually falls in love with Kyoko. Currently the manga (which I am also chasing) is up to 136 chapter and still going on.



Currently, the anime was up to 22 episode.I am totally hooked by the storyline. Very light-hearted and cute which reminds me very much of Ouran High School Host Club.
